Sintayehu’s background is in tourism management, ecotourism and biodiversity conservation, and entrepreneurship and business development. He did his PhD research on the linkage between ecotourism and payments for ecosystem services as a new conservation approach in protected areas of Ethiopia at Punjabi University, Patiala, India. He is currently serving as a member of the editorial board of Springer Nature for the Journal of SN Business and Economics and the Journal of Tourism, Sports Management & Marketing, and as editor-in-chief of the Journal Dimensie Management and Public Sector. Since 2023, he has been joining the Journal of Equity in Sciences and Sustainable Development (JESSD). He has published 13 articles in international and national journals. Siraj’s background is in watershed management and water resources engineering. He did his PhD research on the evaluation of surface and groundwater interaction at Hawassa University, Ethiopia. He had been an editor at the Emirate Journal of Food and Agriculture and a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Agriculture, Veterinary and Marine Science and the Journal of Curriculum Development Studies before joining the Journal of Equity in Sciences and Sustainable Development (JESSD) in 2024.
